WE had £100 stolen once- not millions but enough to feel it- it turned out to be the son of one of the builders we had in. He knew pretty much straight away who it was - all v embarrassing. Never need

needed to ge tthe police but I have been told those sorts of thefts are insiders because they dont take anyhting they have to 'fence'. Good luck- you are most likely to get that back you know.

Yes, it's either one of them, or someone from their circle. As you say, they could have mentioned something, purposefully or otherwise. The police are checking them all out.

I know it's horrible to think of people you should be able to trust stealing from you, but yes, it does narrow it down at least.

The police are sure it's an inside job. No break in - so they either had a copy of my keys, or knew the vulnerable points in the house. They also know when I am at home or not -
