I have always preferred slash more than general fanfiction. Why? Well, it is often better written, more imaginative, and so much more fun! I do read general fiction, however, and there are some excellent stories out there in this category.

Unless otherwise stated, my stories are very explicit, and contain both slash and het, not to mention a few other kinky things. So please heed the warnings, NC-17 in almost all cases.

My wonderful beta reader is Curious Wombat, unless otherwise credited in each story. Please visit her bio page here.

Inside artwork is by the marvelous Veveco, whose work you can visit here.

Please note that all images are copyright. I will gladly give permission to use them if you ask, and when due credit is given.

My Series

After more than two thousand years of self-imposed exile, Greenwood the Great travels to the Spring Festival in Imladris, with Legolas as its leader.

Two vastly different cultures will come together in the hope of alliance, and the destinies of three warriors will unravel.

Love and friendship, honor and duty, hardship and warfare - these are the foundations of their future, one marked by the second coming of the Dark Lord.

Order of Reading

The Protege

The Protege. Legolas travels to the Greenwood for the Spring Festival, in search of alliances. First story in the series and you should read this before moving on.

Harvest takes place straight after The Protege and is a little side story on Legolas' sword, Yaavan. Currently being re-edited

Arcane Land Legolas travels back to the Greenwood, together with Elladan and Melven. Join them as they discover the true nature of darkness, and find love along the way.

Horizon Elrond sets the wheels of politics into motion as he, Glorfindel and Legolas travel to Lothlorien. Galadriel gets more than she bargined for, Gildor finds his purpose, and Thranduil will reveal himself after more than two thousand years.

All The King's Men

Legolas, his High Constable, Herald and two most trusted warriors, travel into the lands of men, in search of enlightenment, and the myth that will bring with it, the fulfillment of their own destinies.

The Wild and the Wise

Order of reading

The Wild Ones

They are Silvan and they are dangerous. Imladris prepares for uncouth wood-elves...Travelling to Imladris on a mission for Thranduil, Legolas, or Taú, leads his group under the guise of a simple captain. Cultural differences and age-old prejudice will arise, and the Noldor’s perception of the Silvan people will drastically change - but will it be for good or bad?

The Wise Ones

They are Noldo and they are learned, gifted in the skills of the physical sciences and the arts, refined and graceful like no other. The Wise Ones, led by Elrond and Glorfindel, travel to the Greenwood to reciprocate Thranduil's invitation. Legolas and The Greenwood prepare for imperious Noldo.

Coming soon...

Hwindohtar, Captain of The Company, the greatest warrior the Greenwood has ever known. He is Silvan, save that his eyes are not of honey, nor is his hair the deep chestnut of his people. Destiny has dealt him a cruel hand, for it has marked him as that he can never be, the son of one who can never be his father.
He is Hwindohtar of The Company, Legolas of the Woodland Realm, he is - the Silvan.

Primal Pursuits

What made Legolas the lover he is in The Protege? Take a look at his escapades into the darker side of Elven loving.

These stories can be read in any order, but please heed the warnings. VERY explicit slash and het throughout.

And a final word. Lately, great read numbers and disappointing review numbers are really grating on my motivation to publish on this site. It wasn't that way before, quite the contrary, it was one of the reasons I loved this site so much. What happened? Don't know.

I am now publishing first on other sites where I do get great reviews and that keeps my stories going, makes me WANT to continue writing. However, I suppose I will always come back here, where I have good friends and many readers.. Although not so many reviewers. Those I do have, you know who you are and you are the reason I will continue to come back here.

Title: Dark Prince ~ The Darkness Has Its Own Light. by Spiced Wine
Rated: Mature [ - ]

~ Lúthien was not the only offspring of Maia and Elf born in the Elder Days, but Vanimórë's tale was never to be sung in glittering halls.

His mother was Elven.
His father was Sauron.
His birth was accomplished by the blackest sorcery of Morgoth Bauglir.
He was forged as a double-edged sword is forged, as lethal and as beautiful.
And they tested him to breaking-point.

He would not break.

"Until the sky breaks and the mountains fall into the Great Sea, and the End cometh, there is no world for us." ~ Vanimórë Gorthaurion.

The first of the Dark Prince series, the story of Sauron's son, born to be a weapon, a warrior, a servant of the Dark – or its eternal enemy. ~

I am really starting to get into the story now. I specifically enjoyed Feapolda's death, and the fraticide of Vanya - the emotions are very well written.

I found a couple of typos / omissions you may want to edit:

''He...Lord Sauron, he commanded I wear them, he said...'' 'he' should be 'she'

He knew because he felt the bond which so closely tied their souls snap instantly snuff out like a candle as took her head in his hands – and broke her neck.

That would be 'as he took er head..."

I hope to get round to chapter three over the weekend - now, if you would prefer I shut up with the typos, just say the word!!

Author's Response:

I am always editing. I go through it every so often. :) Thank-you!

Okay, I cocked up the last comment, what I meant was this:

The movement was so swift he knew she felt nothing. He knew because he felt the bond which so closely tied their souls snap instantly, snuff out like a candle as took her head in his hands – and broke her neck.

'snuff out like a candle as HE took her head...'

Uff, too much Spanish red, I am afraid!

Author's Response:

Please send over a glass of the red :D after these last few days I could do with one XD

I think I have fixed it. :)

Finally got round to chapter four. I like the way you have summarized the history which elapses and relocates Vanimore in the east, still unfit for his father's ear, too feeling.

Author's Response:

Thank-you Alpha Ori. I can't really remember why I did write it the way I did, except that it was always my idea to write an AU and then be able to go back and open things out. Thank-you very much for your review. :)

I read this story in one sitting, in spite of the early ours and my state of exhaustion. I love the easy interaction etween Elrohir and Legolas and the almost instant empathy they share.
as an astromomer myself, I have no qualms about your positioning of the celestial bodies. Funny how Tolkien has Orion as a swordsman rather than as the archer he is.
i will now go to sleep in the hope of wonderful dreams, such that you story has inspired.

Author's Response:

So glad to have an astronomer's approval!  I hoped my constellation was justifiable! :D  So glad you enjoyed this-- it's not a pairing that I have ever written before, and there are so many wonderful Legolas/Elrohir stories out there that I was a little intimidated to take it on, but that's what the story swaps are for-- to make us broaden our horizons (so to speak!).

This is wonderfully written, erotic and sensual. I actually cringed at the end there, thinking his embarrassment would be worse. Good job he came up with the idea of dreaming, and thank God for baggy shirts!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Alpha! Yes, that was a highly cringeworthy moment for Legolas. I think he was probably too dazed to feel the full force of his embarrassment at the time. His toes were probably curling at breakfast the next morning though. And yes, there's a reason why so many elves wear loose robes!

Thanks for taking the time to review. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I came to your stories after your review for mine. I decided on this story first as you stated it was your first lotr fiction, and I wonder if you had written in any other fandom before... Your writing shows a mature and, I think, accurate take on guilt and grief, and the emotions they provoke. The story is well structured, the narrative is smooth and your descriptions are raw and powerful. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to more - anything up your sleeve?

Author's Response: Gosh, first thank you so much for the lovely review, I get way, way too excited when just my read count goes up never mind when someone reviews! I used to write Harry Potter ff when I was younger (I'm sure you can imagine how terrible that was)but then read Lord of the Rings and since then it's been LOTR slash all the way. I would love to write a full on story, but I'm a terrible writer, I lose concentration after like the first hour. Thats why I have a couple of One shots b/c there so easy to just vent all your emotions into a couple of hundred words. Thank you so much for reviewing, it really was a wonderful suprise, I'm so glad you enjoyed it :) -Becky.

I loved this story, especially the way you portray Thranduil - strong and imposing, tragic son and husband, despairing father, only to find his strength not minutes later and continue to rule as the strong king he is. thank you!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Alpha Ori! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. When I first read LOTR I found myself wondering why Legolas, out of all the available elves, was chosen, and since then I've often wondered how Thranduil would take the news. This was an attempt to explore those questions. I'm really pleased you found Thranduil's reaction convincing. I can't imagine him taking the news quietly, but I was sure his love and pride for his son would win out.

And so, the end. I started reading this story with a rather healthy dose of skepticism - as I mentioned, I don't normally go for crossovers or modern-day characters falling into ME. However, something urged me to keep readiing, even from the beginning. Slowly but surely, I began to understand the main character - and I do realize that I did not start from the beginning - however, that was not a barrier and the longer I read, the deeper I became pulled into your universe.
I do believe the story improves as it progresses, and by the end of it, I was hooked.
Congratulations then, on a lovely story with thoroughly entertained me for the three days it took me to read. I will certainly be going on to more of your stories, and hopefully, liking them as much as I ended up liking this one.
Thank you!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much. When I first began reading in the Tolkien fandom there were an awful lot of 'girl falls into ME' stories - and after a while I thought 'I could do better...' But I decided there was to be no joining the fellowship, no Legomance, no "Woe is me! I have fallen for a mortal and am fated!" from any elves. The only thing I allowed myself to bend a bit on was to mix in the movie-verse elves at Helm's Deep with the mainly bookverse aftermath of the War, as it gave me a reason for there being some elf other than Legolas at the Battle of the Black Gate. I talked about it with a friend who actually taught a university course including Tolkien, who had read my short foray into the Buffyverse, and when I said I reckoned it would only work if I actually dumped Dawn there, she said "Go for it! I trust you!". So I did. I am really pleased that you think the story improves as it goes on, as well. I think I learnt a lot about writing as I went on. I do hope you enjoy the others posted here, too.

Now, I do not normally read cross-overs and have very little idea of Buffy, except that she was a vampire slayer. However, it really was not necessary and I enjoyed the easy style of writing and the somewhat blasé banter between the three friends. I will certainly try to read more tomorrow and see how the story progresses.

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed both the writing and the relationship that has developed between these three. Knowing anything more about Buffy is not really necessary, to be honest. Although it might help to know that the new character Dawn was first seen in series 5 as if she had always been there, creating lots of comment from viewers. And then we discovered this is exactly what had happened to the characters too - and she was actually a mystical device for opening (and logically closing) doors between dimensions that had been given human form. I simply had her close such a portal and end up - at the very end of the Battle at the Black Gates - in ME, which is really her 'home' dimension. But she has all the memories still that were implanted in her of being a child up to 17 in California...

Nice chapter. I am wondering if Tindome is going to fall to the charms of those that would widen her education, so to speak (I hope she does!)

Oh, poor Rumil - nicely written battle scene, and believable, which makes a nice change to a lot of fanfics out there.

Author's Response: Oh - thank you! Battle scenes intimidated me to start with - and then I realised that they were very like scenes in D&D - which I played in the old days with dice, paper, and small figures. But I am still always so pleased when someone compliments any of my fight scenes! As for Rumil - well it would be unrealistic for them to all get off without a scratch, and when something like this happens there are usually repercussions of one sort or another.

Oh dear, where were the Rohirrim? Too far away to help, I suppose. Tindome is going to have to be careful with that lass Alith - she is after Rumil's jewels...

Author's Response: We learn a little more about how the raid could happen in the next chapter - and more about the Rohirrim in general over the next few chapters. There will be speculation about what Álith might want, or desire, as well...

Ah, they finally arrive. I wonder what the cultural differences will yield. Nice chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you - there will be a number of things over the next chapters that show the different approaches to things of the Elves and Men.

Oh dear, now I will have to read another chapter today...

Author's Response: Ha ha! Evil cackle... Actually it is a really nice compliment that you can't wait to find out what happens next - thank you!

That was a very emotive chapter, and what an unexpected ending - I might have to read on a little bit more.

Author's Response: It was very, very emotional to write - as was the next one, I remember. Actually I've just realised that the chapters here don't have their names - I must remedy that.
