No glaring errors that I can see, and I'm delighted that you're writing again. All good things to you and your family over this holiday season.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response:

Apologies for the late response - I thought I'd replied already!

Thanks for your wishes for me and my family. And yes I am still writing - albeit slowly! The next chapter is finally up!

Thanks for reviewing :)

Oooooh, nice cliffhanger!

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response:

Thanks, Erulisse! Sorry to keep them hanging for so long, but the next chapter sould be up in a day or two.

Thanks for reviewing :)

It is so nice to have you writing again. And what a cliffhanger you leave us with. I can hardly wait for the next chapter or two or ten or..... :-)

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response:

Yes, I am writing again, although the words are only coming fairly slowly at the moment. But I hope it won't take me so long to get the next chapter out. I thought leaving the story at that point might give me an incentive to get on with the next chapter asap!

Believe it or not, the story is nearly finished. There again, this was supposed to be just a quick one-shot, in response to Esteliel's challenge...

Thanks for reviewing :)

Only one more chapter? I'll be rather sad to see the end of this little story. It's been so much fun to read.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response:

Yes, just the one more chapter. Would you believe this story was just supposed to be a quick single-chapter story? As you can see, it got a bit out of hand *g*

I'm glad you've enjoyed it!

And so, you have finally been able to end this, and in a glorious way. This was a very fun story to read and I'm so pleased that you finished it well. Yes, many deeds lie ahead of both of them, but their bond will lend strength and endurance to each of them over the years to come. Congrats on a job well done.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response:

Thanks, Erulisse - I'm so glad you enjoyed both the story and the ending! Yes, they don't have an easy road ahead of them, but their bond will see them through.

Thank you for taking the time to review - you brought me up to fifty reviews :)

Title: Sight Unseen by Gwaelinn
Rated: Mature [ - ]
Summary: *COMPLETE* Námo is the most feared and most misunderstood Vala. As a result, he is very much a lone in his dark world. Can the Doomsman of the Valar find true love? Or is he distained to remain alone for all eternity? Only time will tell, and in this venture there is little enough of that. AU

I am enjoying this premise a great deal. Namo has long been a favorite of mine, and this holds great promise.

Author's Response: Thank you. He is a favorite of mine as well--always had a soft spot for him. Hope you enjoy the rest of this story. ~G

I liked this chapter a lot, even though it is a bit of a bridging chapter. I can't wait for the next one :-) (Jumping up and down in Namo's corner!)

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: Glad someone else cheers for the Lord of the Dead! Though there are still a few obstacles to get through... so I am off to post the update. Thanks for the happy thoughts :) ~G

I think few elleth would have the reserves needed to be able to deal with Namo, but Surelinde seems well able to do so. I am looking forward to the next chapter.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: I always smile when I see a comment from you; I look forward to them! I tried really hard to make sure this did not become a Persephone/Hades story. I hope you continue to enjoy that path it takes :)

Gildor had better hurry up! I love this pairing, and Irmo's gentle "push" was just what was needed. One small typo - I suspect that you actually meant " "perceived" instead of "Is that how you preserved my wish?" preserved in this sentence.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: lol--every so often that happens and sometimes the wrong word is quite humorous. I'll go back and fix that (thanks for letting me know) Glad you are enjoying this; I like Irmo and see him as Namo's little brother (so to speak) who is quite willing to push cause he knows Namo won't mind. More soon (and a new story in the Son's of Rohan Series will be up soon, too) I really like this site :) ~G

Oh, that nasty counselor. How petty of him.

I loved Namo humbling himself before Gildor to ask his permission to court his daughter. Now if the young child will only allow herself to listen to the Vala with open ears.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: Every story has to have at least 1 villain :) And Vala or not, I thought it important that Námo go through the 'proper' methods. Súrelindë does need a boost of self confidence--but Námo will not be brushed off that easily I assure you. Thanks for reading and commenting! ~G

"the elf-lord said, holding her chin so they looked eye to eye. “At least not until you are certain that your heart’s dream is beyond reach. Promise me, you will not just give up.”

Súrelindë looked deep into her father's blue eyes. She saw the love he had for her and something else, some knowledge that he refused to share. "

Ummmm, just to point out that your character is blind and that the sentences above would refer to a sighted person, not a blind one....

Otherwise, I can hardly wait for the feast!!!

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: Damn! Thought my Beta and I caught them all! Thanks for letting me know and it has been fixed. *sigh* I do appreciate it; even with a Beta things get missed and if I am told, I can fix them. Sometimes I think I should speak up when reading a fic but I chicken out. ~G

"She was the granddaughter of Finrod…*the* Finrod? Son of Finwe?"

I'm all for AU, work within it myself, but didn't you skip one generation here? Normally, Finrod is considered to be Finwe's grandson, not son. Finwe's sons were Feanaro, Nolofinwe and Arafinwe.

Anyway....just saying.....

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: Thanks for saying...went back to check my source materal and it seems I mis-read this from Wikipedia: "Finarfin was called Finrod in earlier versions of the Middle-earth mythology (even in the First Edition of The Lord of the Rings); his son Finrod Felagund was called Inglor Felagund. This was changed in later editions, but not all references to Finrod were changed to Finarfin, nor all references to Inglor removed; see Gildor Inglorion." I have therefore, gone back and changed it. I try to keep up with my research but sometimes things get missed. ~G

This was a delightful tale and I loved each chapter. A sequel, although nice, is not necessary. You left it at a positive note and a hopeful note. All is good.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: Thank you! You are the first who said this was a good stopping point, nothing left hanging :) The sequel was started and it died when I had a computer crash. Thanks for reading and the reviews (I looked forward to them) ~G

OK, you managed to throw quite a twist into the tale at this point. I won't kill you, if I did I would never get the end of the story....but you are still evil :-)

- Erulisse (one L)

Author's Response: Oh thank you! I quite enjoy twists and this has to be one of my most...wicked ones yet. There is more to come and hopefully you will continue to forgive the twists...and still enjoy the tale. ~G P.S. I love angst...in college I was called the 'Queen of Melancholy' as I always seemed to have a bitter sweet air about me. Guess it is still true!
