It was just lovely, Ziggy. But I need far longer to talk to fanfic friends :)

Spiced- I am so jealous that you met up with Elfscribe and Russandol- I cannot imagine anything nicer than lunch with fanfic writers.

Meeting fanfic friends is the way to go. I used to socialize and never even meet people who read books. *Snore*

Absolutely lovely couple of hours yesterday in Tolkien and Lewis' old haunt, the Eagle and Child in Oxford. I met Elfscribe and Russandol, and they were super. I could have talked to them for hour

Oh Feanor! Don't try it! You're going to have to buy a whole new set of clothes as well as hire a laundress. You might as well hire one right away!

What a delightful story! I enjoyed it very much. And yes, of course the family needs a laundress...

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words. I am so glad that you enjoyed it. Yes, the family *does* need a laundress, though I am not sure if Feanor will remember the debacle of the cooking in time or not. [vbeg] Hopefully he will though.

Somehow, I think the kids were really trying to nip the idea in the bud in a clever manner. The fish soup was probably laced with ipecac.

Since you reviewed "Freida's Frypan Frolic," I thought it only fair that I read your own food related tale. I must say, I laughed out loud several times. Well done!

Author's Response: I am so glad that you enjoyed this. I'm not sure if the boys actually planned it out or not; I can see it happening either way. But I do know that the twins acted from the best of intentions, which is a guarantee that things will go badly especially when dealing with fish and seafood, lol. Thank you again for the kind words.

Another wonderful piece that offers a glimpse at the life of the Feanorians that has nothing to do with death, doom, madness, grief or anything like that.

I agree with your interpretation of Maedhros and Maglor - they would definitely have worked as a team and so would the twins but the um, middle brothers..........

I would love to read what happened with the laundry - lol. Maybe you could whip up something?

Author's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed this. I do love to write the Feanorians before "the troubles" began. For some reason I always think of the middle brothers as not working well as a team; they all seem too independent for that. (Which sounds odd, I know but it's true.) As for the laundry incident, I have a few ideas but nothing definite. Perhaps now I can think on it some more -- we'll see. Thank you so much for your kind words.

HaHa this is great! :) I' sure that fish soup the Ambarussa cooked would have made even a orc pause before eating! :)

Thanks for sharing :)

Author's Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed this. Yes, the fish soup was rather weird and frightening but Ambarussa did try hard. Thank you so much for your kind words.

This was wonderfully comedic. I liked how you staged this with each of the brothers trying their hand at cooking, while Nerdanel calmly waiting until time proved her point. And, of course, the last line was the real clincher. It's terribly amusing to think of what the brothers will do when forced to wash their own clothes.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed this. (I don't think that Feanor will be very happy about what happens when the boys take over the laundry either.) Thank you for your kind words.
