@ Sian - I don't now what I will do when I pass because I cannot afford a car. But maybe one day i will :D

The automatic is so much easier in traffic than a manual.

@Naledi, I thought automatics were better for hills, they dont go backwards when there in drive...

It's by far the best car for traffic jams. And as our roads are just one long traffic jam I'm surprised that more people don't use automatics. Less good for hills and ice, though.

I always thought I preferred the control of a manual, but the last company car I had before I chucked in my job and had to make do with a bike was automatic. I'm now a convert.

The lessons themselves are fine :D I quite enjoy driving with this instructor - the previous one was awful.

It's going quite well. I am learning automatic because I do not want to feel as if I am working at driving.

How are you finding it? I would hate to learn now - the roads are so much more busy than when I was a learner.
