After they arrive, Nerdanel tries to claim Jeli on the basis that she was once Feanor. Erestor throws a hissy fit and storms off to complain to the Valar when he finds he does not have as much power as he thought he had. Ingwe declares war on the kings of the new realms. Ereolas has a horrid foursome. Cirdan has an ultra-quick childhood after being reborn - he is the only baby with a beard. Thranduil is just as loud as he ever was.
There is a whole cast of characters, with nearly every elf who starred in Ereolas: Oropher Unbound making appearances in the story.

Vanimórë's Imperium rises in the south, bringing order in the wake of conquest, and beyond it's might the Re-united Kingdom thrives in peace. Gil-galad returns to Lindon with a youthful Fëanor who has his own power and destiny. Yet an evil undermines Vanimórë's rule, and taints the kingdoms beyond. His subjects believe their Emperor demands blood sacrifice and name him the Dark God.
And at the end there will be sacrifice indeed, and a breaking of the heart...

He came out of Night, but he did not come alone.
Now the darkest of powers seek to show Vanimórë that his path was laid before him long ago, and that his destiny is to aid Morgoth's return before the Dagor Dagorath, the Last Battle at the end of the world.
If he falls, there is no way back.
Fëanor's eyes glowed in the red-black which emanated from the figure. His sword shone white as he stepped forward.
''I have – long desired this, Jail Crow!'' The words were exultant, his smile beautiful.

The Arc of Fire, the blazing thread of forbidden love and desire which began with Fëanor and Fingolfin spanned three generations and thousands of years.
I Will Lead And Thou Shalt Follow. told of the birth of that passion. This story continues the Arc, telling of the ultimately doomed love between Fingon and Maedhros, Fingon's son Gil-galad and Tindómion, son of Maglor, in an Arda where the love of one's own gender was seen as an offense in the eyes of the the Valar – and punished by banishment into the Everlasting Dark.
“I, Tindómion Maglorion do so swear, sire.” His voice shook a little. “My fealty and all my service is thine, Gil-galad of House Fingolfin. From now until the day of my death.”
“Or mine,” said Gil-galad, quite softly.
